A letter from Loretta Lynn! taj Ned Jun 13, 2010 10:23 pm

Last year, Paramore covered “You Ain’t Woman Enough” by Loretta Lynn for our show at The Ryman in Nashville. Some of you would know The Ryman by it’s original name, The Grand Ole Opry. We were so honored to play a show there for the first time. We wanted to play a song that meant something to the history of the venue and honestly, anything by Loretta Lynn would’ve worked. “You Ain’t Woman Enough” is my favorite song by her so I had the best time singing it.
To me, the coolest part about this performance was playing it completely unplugged. The rest of our show was electric and loud, as usual. But for the encore we came out and played this song with no mics, no cords… just me and Josh on acoustic guitar and the sound of it bouncing off the walls.
Never would I have thought, in a million years, that Loretta would actually get to hear our version of her song. I probably would’ve been a lot more nervous if that had crossed my mind. I received this letter from her last weekend. Not sure if you can read it (crappy cell phone pic) but she actually asked us to do the song again for her 50th Anniversary album. We’re gonna try our damndest!
Please check out Loretta Lynn if you haven’t ever heard her music before. She is what I believe to be the heart and soul of country. An amazing heart behind all of her words and melodies. This letter is my greatest confirmation as an artist. So humbled and inspired!
Eto, ukratko ^^

“Paramore will be the neighbor that comes over for tea and never leaves.”
Love you, Williams.
